The preview of shader code is quite big, specially as the visual shader nodes feel quite limited. Specially when messing with advanced stuff such as stencils. DrawableTexture2D is also super useful for snow / grass shaders (or anything that involves interacting with the environment via a texture).

Scene painting, FINALLY! :D
This is probably the biggest thing that GameMaker users (which I was, years ago) have been missing from Godot. Tilemaps recently got you 80% of the way there but had all the limitations (and difficulties) associated with it.
So many good things in this release but scene painting is a big one, to me.

Godot has left Unity eating dust. Wonderful to see all the hard work from contributors paying off. Congrats!
