That guy keeps making the same movements and expressions over and over again. I don't know if it's a real person or not, but that video has to be some kind of lip syncing to a short pre-recorded loop or a small amount of training data.

no MS didnt kill linux, however a condition of thier own creation creates unnessecary friction to operation of a non windows OS.
this doesnt put good light on MS, but is no where as colossaly incompetent as the progressive destruction of windows.

This was going to be a problem on my CachyOS laptop. fwupdmgr could not update the CA as there was not enough efivarfs space even after removing almost everything and after resetting the BIOS. My solution was to disable secure boot. It will be fine.

I miss having write disable jumpers on early Flash BIOSes. Considering that writing firmware requires local root access in the first place, and that there's no guarantee that there isn't a fault in Secure Boot, it doesn't do anything to prevent your system from being compromised, and only reduces but does not eliminate the possibility of a compromise being persistent, whereas a hardware jumper would do more to increase security, without the need for a central authority.
